I just wanted to thank you for the LED's received today in record time and for all your help and advice during the restoration project Lance. It's now finished and my mother is very pleased to have her mother's toy from 1982 now working again.

In the end it consists of:
  • 3x AAA batteries as a power source
  • 1x 5mm Flickering red LED as the heart with a 47ohm resistor attached
  • 1x 5mm Breathing effect Orange LED as the Finger with a 47ohm resistor attached
  • 2x 5mm solid blue LED's as the eyes with 290ohm resistors attached to each. This was because the brightness in the eyes was too extreme next to the other LED's and it took 390ohm of resistance to bring them down.

I tested the amount required by adding individual 56ohm resistors to one of them until they dimmed far enough. It took 7 of them before it finally worked. Once I had those results I just purchased a resistor that had the combined power of 7 of them... so 390ohms and attached it to both eyes and the project is a success it seems.

I just hope it doesn't burn the house down lol. (Hopefully it'll be ok).

I attached some photos and just wanted to thank you again!
